ANGEL Group: “a model of Italian innovation”, Italian PM Paolo Gentiloni claims
September 9th, Mola di Bari – The Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni visited SITAEL’s Headquarters before opening the 81st edition of the International Trade Show “Fiera del Levante” in Bari.
Mr. Vito Pertosa, founder of Angel Group, welcomed the Premier showing the most important technological solutions made in the aerospace field as well as in the most recent Internet of Things (IoT) business unit, in the Aviation and the in Railway divisions. Mr. Gentiloni also had a closer look into the BLACKSHAPE Bk160 Gabriél, a disruptive two-seat tandem aircraft displayed on Saturday at SITAEL that has been chosen by the Experimental Flight Department (RSV) department of the Italian Air Force, and into the railway diagnostic systems by MERMEC that will perform the complete Asset Inventory of the Italian Railways network.
“We have seen how an enterprise with strong Apulian roots – starting from the family who launched it – spread out throughout Italy and all over the world thanks to its ability to innovate, to the quality of our engineers and technicians and people working in this project; it is a model for what Apulia can do in Southern Italy”, claimed the Prime Minister.
On this same occasion, also Mr. Vincenzo Boccia, the national Chairman of Confindustria, the Confederation of Italian Industry, Prof. Roberto Battiston, President of the Italian Space Agency (ASI), Mr. Maurizio Gentile CEO of Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI) and Gen. Enzo Vecciarelli, Chief of the Italian Air Force, together with other local institutional representatives, visited the Company.

And it does not depend on a geographical position, it depends on people and the vision of entrepreneurs that can look far ahead”, claimed Prof. Battiston.
Mr. Nicola Zaccheo, CEO of SITAEL, highlighted the World leadership of the Company in the field of Small Satellites and announced that SITAEL is about to develop a high performance mini-platform as part of the PLATiNO Programme, with a first launch expected in 2020.
