SITAEL, the leading Italian space company wholly privately owned and part of Angel Holding (led by Cav. Vito Pertosa), has successfully concluded its participation at the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) 2024, held at MiCo Milano Congressi.
During this edition, SITAEL reaffirmed its role as a key player in the national and international space industry, showcasing cutting-edge technologies and announcing significant partnerships aimed at advancing innovative solutions for the sector.
SITAEL finalized three Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with key players in the space economy:
- AIKO: The collaboration with the Italian company specialized in artificial intelligence will allow the integration of AIKO’s advanced technologies into SITAEL’s satellites and “On Board Computers” systems, significantly enhancing the operational autonomy and efficiency of space missions.
- SATLANTIS: The strategic partnership with the Spanish company SATLANTIS, a leader in Earth observation, will combine SITAEL’s satellite platforms with SATLANTIS’s advanced optical payloads, enabling the development of ultra-high-resolution satellite observation solutions to monitor the environment and promote sustainability.
- D-Orbit: The agreement involves the integration of SITAEL’s 5kW electric propulsion system into future D-Orbit missions. This innovative technology will enhance the efficiency and maneuverability of satellites, offering greater flexibility and reducing the environmental impact of space operations.
