SITAEL at 11th IAA Symposium on Small Satellites for Earth Observation

SITAEL partecipated in the 11th IAA Symposium on Small Satellites for Earth Observation which took place in Berlin, Germany, from 24th to 28th April 2017 at the Berlin-Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften (BBAW), Gendarmenmarkt.

The conference, hold every two years, is always a great opportunity to get a real insight on the latest developments and achievements on small satellites and their applications for Earth Observation.

Two papers were accepted and presented:

  • The S-200 mini platform and its application in Very Low Earth Orbit constellations
  • The HT-100 Hall Effect Thruster in a new and improved magnetic shielded configuration.

In addition to the oral presentation two posters were shown too:

  • Current status of development of ESEO mission
  • The ongoing design of the uHETsat spacecraft, the first application of an HET onboard a microsat

SITAEL’s boot was also a great opportunity to share thoughts and ideas with colleagues from all over the world, working on the same subjects.
