SITAEL Hellas presents company roadmap to the Greek Space Industry
In the context of the ongoing effort to connect members of the Greek space ecosystem with world-class companies, si-Cluster, the Hellenic Space Technologies and Applications Cluster, supported by Corallia and HASI, hosted SITAEL S.p.A., the largest Italian privately owned space company, a member of the Angel Group, a global leader in Aerospace and Transportation.
SITAEL has already been present in Greece over the last 5 years with SITAEL Hellas, based in Veria, and has recently undertaken actions to expand both in Athens and Thessaloniki, which was one of the main reasons for the workshop.
During the Industry Day, the company presented its products, the current and running activities both in Italy and Greece, as well as its growth roadmap for the coming years in Greece. Following the presentation, members of the si-Cluster coming from both the industry and the academic world presented their products, services and technologies to SITAEL’s representatives in order to set the bases for new partnership agreements.
The Industry Day concluded with a Networking Session in which both sides had the opportunity to examine potential synergies in future projects and the possibility of integrating Greek technologies to the supply chain of SITAEL and SITAEL Hellas.
Mr. Nicola Zaccheo, CEO of SITAEL S.p.A., stated: « Today’s event was a perfect occasion to meet the Greek Space ecosystem in order to create new partnerships and strengthen our existing ones and we would like to thank the si-Cluster, supported by Corallia and HASI, for hosting this event and for its constant support. SITAEL Hellas has a strategic role for SITAEL international growth and we believe that, with the support of the Greek institutions, we can help Greece realizing its Space endeavors in the Space Economy era.».
Mr. Nikolaos Bazakas, General Manager of SITAEL Hellas, pointed out «We have been established for more than five years now, becoming one of the main players of the Greek Space ecosystem. The roadmap we presented today is the result of our hard work and vision and we are looking forward to realizing it.».
Dr. Jorge–A. Sanchez-P., Chairman of the BoD of the si-Cluster and CSFO of Corallia, stated: «Once again, supporting the Greek companies of space innovation with new networking opportunities, attracting at the same time foreign investments to our country, we hosted SITAEL and introduced our ecosystem. We thank SITAEL for its presence here in Greece and the will to become acquainted and collaborate with the Greek ecosystem of aerospace industry on innovative long-range projects.».
