SITAEL heritage in the design, manufacturing, integration and final commissioning of complete high vacuum facilities, for internal use and for external Customers, allows us to offer a wide range of highly customizable solutions, both in the research and in the industrial field.
With a diameter up to 6 mt and length up to 10 mt. of AISI 300 series stainless steel, the Vacuum facilites can reach a pressure range down to 1*10-9 mbar (depending on conditions, pumping system, flanges type) and a Total leak rate / local leak rate of Down to 1*10-6 mbar liter/second / Down to 1*10-9 mbar liter/second. The Pumping system can be oil/oil free roughing, roots, turbomolecular, cryogenic, ionic, oil diffusion while the control system can be from manual direct control with hardware safety interlocks to fully automated.
One of our systems delivered is the thermal vacuum chamber successfully operated by Tartu Observatory (Estonia) since 2013. The facility is currently used for acceptance and qualification of flight hardware (components and cubesats).
