Few days passed since the end of Space Propulsion Conference 2016, one of the most important events dedicated to technical and programmatic aspects about the development and application of Space Propulsion technologies. The 2016 edition confirmed this event as the “forum” supporting the preparation of future activities and roadmaps in all the fields of space propulsion.

Held in Rome, the 5th edition of this International Conference has been organized with contents evaluated by 2 Technical Committees, one for each area of propulsion, for spacecrafts and for space transportation. The event involved the most important companies in space industry, program developed over four round tables, 96 technical sessions and nearly 500 speeches attended by over 700 participants, with the aim to highlight programmatic and technical issues and to promote exchange of views and information on chemical and electric propulsion and all the related fields.

In this context SITAEL played a central role in the event, with Mr. Mariano Andrenucci acting as member of the Spacecraft Propulsion Technical Committee, Mr. Nicola Zaccheo, CEO of the Company, involved in two of the round tables, and several papers presented in the technical sessions by Gianluca Cifali, Daniela Pedrini, Tommaso Misuri, Andrea Leporini, Tommaso Andreussi, Vittorio Giannetti and Angelo Pasini.
