COLOGNE, Germany – April 27, 2017 – Sitael today announced MatiPay, a new IoT solution composed of advanced electronics and software applications that transform any vending machine in a smart device with an easy, secure and innovative way to interact with users.

MatiPay will be presented to the business community in occasion of Eu’Vend & coffeena, the leading international trade fair for the European vending and coffee market that will be held in Cologne, Germany from April 27 to April 29, 2017. More than 5,000 decision makers from 59 countries are expected this year and Sitael will meet them to present its latest innovation

MatiPay is an advanced end-to-end solution which includes three main components: a special electronic module that can be quickly and easily installed on the vending machine, a mobile application for the end user, a back-office software console for the Vending Machine Operators.

They can use MatiPay mobile application to buy goods, recharge virtual wallet, offer snacks, transfer credit, accumulate and redeem fidelity points, interact with technical assistance, suggest preferences. All these in a easy, secure and innovative way. Vending Machine Operators, on the other hand, are able to know their clients’ needs and wants as well as to monitor vending machines performances detecting faults and missing products in real time. Vending Machine Operators are moreover and most importantly enabled to minimize maintenance costs, optimize logistics and procurements, take better decisions by means of detailed analytics, reduce coins collection and transfer costs by enabling electronic transactions.

MatiPay has been successfully tested by Gruppo Argenta on thousands of vending machines starting on December 2016 and it has now entered a commercial scale deployment phase thanks to the positive trends collected in terms of users acquisition and mobile daily transactions.
