Alta space and AlmaSpace Merge into SITAEL

SITAEL, ALTA and ALMASpace, the three space companies of Angelo Investments Group, completed the process of merging into a single company on December 31st, 2014.

Counting now on more than 300 employees and state-of-the-art facilities, with four plants in Italy and a subsidiary in Greece, SITAEL is today the largest Italian privately-owned company operating in the space sector.

The long term heritage on producing Electronics and Microelectronics for Satellites and Payloads of the main Space Programmes, together with the constant activities of research and development of new innovative Instruments for Earth Observation and Science, is now enriched by the capability to provide to its customers with entire space systems.

In particular SITAEL is going to boost the market of microsatellites, offering smart applications and services based on its 50-150kg busses, and is currently the only entity in Europe able to provide complete Electric propulsion systems for station keeping, orbit raising and planetary exploration.

The next SITAEL satellite will be launched at the end of 2015.
